Two ingredients and time is all you need to make these super easy and simple baked cinnamon apple chips.
Ingredients:
1 Apple of your choice, rinsed, patted dry, and thinly sliced
Cinnamon to taste
Method:
Preheat oven to 230 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place a wire rack over a baking tray. This so helps air circulate around the apple slices, and helps to make them crispy(see below for how I did it).
Placed sliced apples on the backing rack, sprinkle with cinnamon, and bake in the oven for one hour.
Take the baking tray and rack with the apples out of the oven. Flip over the apples, sprinkle with cinnamon and place back in the oven. Bake the apples for another 1hr.
After one hour has passed, turn of the oven and leave the apples inside for another hour. This helps them to further dry out and develop that nice crunch.
You should have a total of three hours, where the apples have oven time. Two hours with the oven on, and one hour with the oven off.
To store: Place in an air tight container.
These would taste great on their own, crunched up onto a salad, sprinkled on top of a fruit and yogurt parfait, or mixed into trail mix. The possibilities are really endless.
How might you you like to enjoy?
