These chocolate dipped apricots are simple, easy and elegant, and make for a wonderful and tasty offering or gift!
Chocolate Dipped Apricots Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 Bag of dried apricots
½ c. of bittersweet or dark chocolate chips/morsels
Flake salt, slivered almonds or chopped pistachios for toppings
Method:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place chocolate chips in a glass bowl.
Microwave on medium heat for 1 minute. Stir, and place the bowl with the chocolate back in the microwave.
Continue to microwave at 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is melted.
Once the chocolate is melted, dip half to 3/4 of each apricot into the melted chocolate. Let the excess drip back into the bowl.
Place the dipped apricot onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Sprinkle desired toppings over the chocolate, while the chocolate is still melted.
Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
To store:
Keep in the refrigerator for up to one week.
