LOVE YOUR TREE

Elissa Strassman, in partnership with Eating Recovery and Insight Behavioral Health Centers, presents: The Love Your Tree Workshop.

​

The Love Your Tree Workshop is part of "Love Your Tree" a nature based creative arts campaign that celebrates the natural and heathy diversity of bodies in our world, and works to promote positive body image and self-esteem in us all.

“This fun and powerful campaign helps people of all backgrounds develop positive body image, improved self-esteem and enhanced media literacy skills, all of which can serve as protective factors against the development of eating disorders.”


The objectives of the Love Your Tree Workshop is to:

  • Define and understand body image

  • Learn what influences our perception of what makes a body suitable or attractive

  • Explore what we like most about our bodies and attributes

  • Create a visual, using the metaphor, “Like a Tree My Body is…” to celebrate and share all of what makes us special or unique in this world.
